J. Paul is a dynamic vocalist and refined musical storyteller whose artistry blends soul, elegance, and emotional connection. With over three decades of professional experience, his sound is rooted in gospel and soul, shaped by a lifetime of performance, and delivered with a modern sense of sophistication.
Raised in San Diego, California as a pastor’s son, J. Paul was immersed in music from an early age. Under the guidance of his mother—a pianist, vocalist, and music director—he developed not only his voice, but a deep understanding of how music can move and transform an audience.
J. Paul’s ability to connect through music has earned him national recognition, including a standout appearance on The Voice, where he received multiple chair turns. He has also spent over a decade performing alongside Stephanie Mills, gaining invaluable experience in high-level live performance and audience engagement.
As a recording artist, J. Paul has co-written, co-produced, and co-arranged his project Post2020, along with releasing his live visual EP The J. Paul Experience. His work reflects a commitment to authenticity, musical integrity, and emotional storytelling.
